Shisiedo is one of the largest skincare houses in the cosmetics industry, and their skincare once tried is never forgotten. One of their latest products is the Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, a bit of a mouthful but it’s more than a serum and is a powerful skin booster. It helps to strengthen, boost, and to repair the skin gently. It contains reishi mushroom and iris root extracts which are antioxidants, that help to strengthen the skin, and Bulgarian rose water and lotus plant extracts which give the serum a gentle scent.
This is more of an anti-aging product and one that helps repair skin that may have been damaged, so while it’s suitable for all skin types, if you are under 35 and have healthy skin, you probably won’t need to use this product.
I had a deluxe sample size to try out, and the serum comes in 30ml (£69/$70), 50ml (£95/$100) and 75ml (£120/$130) bottles, and is available online from Shiseido, major department stores and selected online retailers
Rating and verdict
First of all, this serum smells lovely, and has a light floral scent, and the texture is a light gel which smooths onto the skin without the need to massage or rub. I loved it and it made my skin feel softer and smoother to touch instantly.
This should be applied after the toner or softening lotion followed by a moisturizer. You can use it morning and night, but for maintenance you can use it at night as a preventative measure. If you are using other serums with this, use this concentrate first, always use the lightest treatment product first so it can absorb into the skin.
The difference with this product is that it is anti-aging and powerful without the need to use retinol or heavy oils that can make the skin feel tight, or lead to reactions. While it may not be a product everyone needs, it’s an excellent skin booster for those who need to strengthen their skin, and who want an anti-aging product that isn’t harsh, heavy or oily.
You can buy a Latest in Beauty box here, and the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate will be available from their ‘Haul of Fame’ until the end of July or while stocks last.
