The June Pink Parcel box is a special limited edition one with the theme of ‘Processions’ and has been curated to celebrate 100 years since some women were given the right to vote in the UK. When the Representation of the People Act was passed, it allowed women who were over 30, household owners, or wives of household owners, and university graduates to vote. The box has been curated to celebrate this historical event, and reminds us that many women before us have fought for the rights that many of us take for granted today.

Rating and verdict
The packaging of the box is stunning (the sleeve), and the contents this month are a useful collection of items that caters for all ages and tastes. Included are the following; a sheet mask that is always useful when your skin needs a boost; chocolate it goes without saying is always welcome; the Bandzee hair ties are essential for those with long hair (as I do, and always have several bands in a bag just in case); a travel sized toothpaste is perfect for the holiday season, and everyone needs lip balm and this is a wonderfully luxurious one with a hint of rosehip and has a soft finish.
Although I’m not a tea drinker, the tea bags are handy for friends that do like tea, and I’m not a fan of matte liquid lipsticks in dark shades, so that’s the other item I will be regifting. It’s a shame it’s not more of a wearable everyday shade, but with lipsticks you can’t get a shade that will suit everyone or that all will be happy with. Friends that have tried it confirm it does have true staying power, and some have struggled to remove it (use a cleansing oil or eye make up remover) it’s so long lasting.
Pink Parcel has been updating their site recently, and now has an online shop where you can buy the items that have been sampled. Each monthly box costs £12.99 and it includes a monthly supply of femcare products, plus you can save more if you choose a pre-paid subscription; save a £1 a box if you subscribe for 3 months; get an extra box free with a 6 month subscription and VIP treats, and a 12 month subscription gets you 2 free boxes, plus VIP extras, and a birthday treat. Delivery is free with each box, so there are no hidden extras to pay either.
Use LCJUNE to get your first box for £5 until 17 June. My favorite items include the chocolate bar (they are however too small!), and the lip balm from The Organic Pharmacy because it glides on and has amazing staying power. This month is a fairly safe, practical, and useful box, and is worth getting for the lip balm alone, offering excellent value for money.
