Every now and then a beauty box comes along and stuns me with the value and the contents—Pink Parcel have done that with their June box, which has earned one of my rare 5/5 ratings. Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box that includes a supply of monthly essentials (choose from towels, tampons, or a combination of both), and a selection of lifestyle, and beauty products, as well as their renowned sweet treats. This month is one of the best boxes I have seen for a while and at £10.50 including postage is a bargain. The cost is £6.99 for your first box (no code needed), and they often do promotions and vouchers as well so sign up for their newsletter to get on their mailing list. Here are the contents of the June box, which you can still sign up for, so don’t wait (you can choose delivery dates of 10th, 20th and 28th of each month)…
- The London Tea Company Purple Tea ~ one sachet.
- Rawcha Organic Matcha Caco and Almond ~ one bar.
- Figs & Rouge 3 in 1 Hero Cream ~ full size tin worth £18.
- Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash ~ 40 ml travel size worth about £5.
- Anatomicals Deep Conditioning Hair Pack ~ one sachet worth £1.50.
- Benecos Lip Liner in brown ~ full sized worth £3.95.
- Spa To You Konjac Sponge ~ full size worth £7.99.
- Stylondon Siligel Blender ~ full size worth £6.99
That’s a retail value of nearly £45, but unlike other beauty boxes where it can be pot luck as to what products you will receive, there are spoilers available so you can’t be too disappointed. This month, the lip liner shade may vary (red, pink, or brown), and the design of the Fig & Rouge tin is from a selection, but other than that everyone will get the same items.
Rating and verdict
This box is pretty hard to beat on value and the quality and usefulness of the contents. Just about every product was suitable for all ages, and skin types. The highlight was the Figs & Rouge 3 in 1 Hero Cream, rich in hyaluronic acid and with a subtle scent, came in a wonderful unicorn tin. Balance Me have recently undergone a rebranding of their packaging, and included this month is a new Pure Skin Face Wash that is 99% natural. This is a non-foaming cleanser that lifts away dirt without making the skin feel tight or dry, and is suitable for all skin types. I also found the Benecos lip liner handy; I got a browny pink shade and it was a good introduction to a brand that I wasn’t that familiar with. The other items were useful accessories— a konjac sponge for cleansing, and a blending sponge for makeup, perfect for those who love skincare and makeup. Many of the items make great gifts by themselves, or if you’re already planning for Christmas excellent stocking fillers.
Priced at £10.50, the June box offers exceptional value and shouldn’t be missed. Each month does vary, so the selections can’t always be guaranteed, however, this month does stand out with four full sized items, and is one of the best curations Pink Parcel has produced. You can subscribe online here (pinkparcel.co.uk), and can suspend or cancel anytime before the end of the calendar month.
