Christmas is finally over as stores and websites have all their seasonal products on final reductions. Some companies who don’t have a sale offer value starter sets, in a bid to gain new customers, which are usually great value and a way to try a new brand. Here are some of the offers that have caught my eye, available while stocks last of course!
Feelunique ~ now have 60% off some items and also have the odd flash sale. Currently there are skincare reductions (no code needed) for some brands as a flash sale. Don’t forget to join the Platinum club (free) and get a £5 voucher when you spend over £50 in a year, plus a 20% code for your birthday month.
Space.NK have 50% and up to 75% off some lines online only.
L’Occitane has up to 50% off Christmas lines.
Benefit has two great free offers (while stocks last) available with a £35 purchase. Choose the Best Things in Life Are 3 Trio (Bad Gal Lash, Benetint, and Porefessional) with the code DECTRIO. The other gift comprises of they’re real mascara and remover with the code REALDOUBLE.
January 14, sees the launch of Benefit they’re real double the lip—a lipstick and liner in one, available in 8 shades: Nude Scandal, Flame Game, Criminally Coral, Pink Thrills, Fuchsia Fever, Lusty Rose, Revved-up Red, and Juicy Berry.
Foreo has an offer of free cleansers (60ml Day and Night) with the purchase of LUNA 2 or LUNA mini 2.
On the beauty box front it has seemed a little disappointing, and customers are demanding more and are getting tired of the repeated items, as well as smaller samples being offered. I’m not sure how anyone can justify (or try to hype up) a sachet or a vial as a luxe sized sample. Birchbox has continued to use their drawer box (which I liked, but they said was a one off), which has made a slight difference to their subscribers, but there have been too many repeated items. Having looked at the January selection, I already had been sent nine of the items on offer. Love me Beauty have named their edit as the best of 2016, which some can interpret as a clear out (with less than 20 items on offer on some days), and You Beauty had a less than interesting collection of body products and a couple of face masks.
Fortunately the new seasons colors will be in stores and counters soon, to coincide with fashion week. Look out for the latest Chanel shades, while Jessie J is collaborating with Make Up Forever with looks created by make-up artist Sammy Mourabit, and look out for Boots final clearance sale where they offer reductions up to 70% off Christmas sets on 18 December. They have pushed it back a week this year, perhaps in a bid to try and clear the stock at 50%, however, I noticed in my local branches there are still plenty of sets available. It maybe a good idea to go online the night before and put things in your basket ready to check out.
